Iain Drummond started working for Blockley’s on the 24th April 1978, he was previously in the army and was only 23 years old when he joined. He has spent most of his time at Blockleys working on kilns. At the height of his career Iain was the supervisor of the three Tunnel kilns, two shuttle kilns and three banks of dryer systems, all holding around 1.5 million products at any one time, after 40 years running kilns, there is no hesitation in calling Iain an expert in his field.
Michelmersh know that our growth and success is dependent on having devoted and capable team members such as Iain Drummond. To recognise this contribution Michelmersh have rewarded Iain with a long service medal from the British Ceramic Confederation, we hope that this award will always remind Mr.Drummond of our appreciation for his hard work and dedication.
