Michelle, more commonly known as Chelle, joined Freshfield Lane Brickworks in June 1999 as a Sales Administrator. HR Director Carl Jones recalls: “I remember opening the door to this very keen, enthusiastic, full of energy, lady as she attended her first interview and Chelle has carried that same vigour and energy from that first day throughout her career at Michelmersh”
At that time, as is typical in small companies, everyone had to multitask and take on various roles—something Chelle excelled at. Besides her sales duties, she managed and coordinated numerous projects and events. This versatility was recognised, and in January 2002, Chelle was promoted to Assistant Sales Office Manager, supporting Sheila Davis, the Sales Manager then.
Due to evolving business demands, in September 2006, Chelle’s role expanded to include becoming the Energy Manager for Freshfield Lane Brickworks. After Freshfield Lane was acquired by Michelmersh in 2010, this role continued until 2012 when she became the Sales Office Manager. Chelle took another step in February 2014, transitioning to Group Marketing and Commercial Manager. She gradually shifted focus to marketing, and by August 2019, she was working in the Marketing department under Sarah Le Gresley.
In January 2021, leveraging her extensive knowledge and skills, Chelle transitioned again, this time to support the IT team as Michelmersh’s IT Business Analyst under Robin Cox, where she remains today after 25 years of dedicated service.
