With the passing of another successful year, Michelmersh is extremely proud to have received 29 shortlisted nominations for the 2024 Awards. Orchestrated by the BDA, the Brick Awards curate the epitome of clay brick design and utilisation from across a diverse range of categories, highlighting the exceptional work by contractors, developers, architects and housebuilders who choose to invest in clay brick.

As clay brick continues to grow in popularity, the Brick Awards has become a hotly contested award and is judged by some of the construction industry’s brightest and most trusted minds. With 48 years of pedigree behind the awards and more innovative ways of clay brick being explored within construction, this year’s shortlisted projects span the breadth of the country and offer a unique view into the incredible variety of architectural vernacular benefitting from the versatility of brick.

This year Michelmersh has 23 individual projects entered over 11 categories, with a wide variety of its projects dominating the Sustainability and Refurbishment categories. This highlights how Michelmersh’s quality products and its passion for progression in decarbonisation present the ideal characteristics for projects seeking environmental credentials. It also demonstrates the durability of clay brick which can be reused or through its longevity can support the secondary life of our built environment assets, living on for generations to come.
“We are delighted to see Michelmersh recognised for its pivotal role in promoting sustainable, quality building products which are featured across an array of beautifully designed shortlisted buildings and developments. The Brick Awards consistently celebrate exceptional clay brick projects, and it is a delight to see innovative design detailing which spans affordable housing schemes to pioneering sustainability initiatives and onto revitalising urban redevelopments, whilst showcasing the craftsmanship and skill of the contractor. The Michelmersh Group takes immense pride in witnessing the extensive application of our products across such a remarkable spectrum of projects. Our heartfelt congratulations and best wishes go out to all the candidates shortlisted for this year’s awards,”
