Over 100,000 bricks donated this year, supporting 11 UK colleges!
Michelmersh’s commitment to nurturing future talent in the construction industry continues to shape opportunities across the UK. Through its Pledge 100 initiative, the Group donated 100,000 clay bricks in 2025 alone – directly supporting hands-on training at 11 further education colleges.
Since launching in the wake of Covid-19, Pledge 100 has provided over half a million bricks to vocational education providers. The program was designed to address the growing skills gap in construction by supplying essential materials for bricklaying courses and improving access to industry-standard products for students. Now in its fifth year, Pledge 100 has become a valued and relied-upon resource for educators preparing the next generation of skilled tradespeople.
Alongside brick donations, the Michelmersh Group continues to support learning environments with CPD sessions, banners, technical literature, and its popular Guide to Successful Brickwork, all aimed at enriching the curriculum and promoting best practice in modern brick construction.

“The generous donation of bricks from Michelmersh has provided our students with invaluable hands-on experience in bricklaying and construction. These materials have enhanced our vocational training programs, allowing learners to develop real-world skills in a supportive and practical environment. We are incredibly grateful for this partnership, which continues to build brighter futures—brick by brick.”
Heidi Duhig, St Edmunds Society

“We are very grateful for the generous Pledge 100 donation from Michelmersh. Their contribution of high-quality bricks has greatly enriched the learning experience at Eastleigh College (part of South Hampshire College Group). With the rising cost of building materials this support means our students and apprentices the opportunity to work with premium materials that meet industry standards. Thank you for investing in the future of skilled trades.”
Andrew Walton, South Hampshire College Group
