On 27th November 2020, Iain Drummond is retiring after an amazing 42 years service at Blockleys in Telford.
Previously Iain was a dog handler in the British Army, he worked in the bomb disposal unit. Iain then proceeded to work for Securicor as a security Guard at Blockleys when a job on the kilns became available, after he made an enquiry he was then taken on as a kiln operative and has been working on our kilns ever since. Building his way up to kiln supervisor, at the height of his career Iain was in charge of approximately 8 kilns.
Everyone at Michelmersh appreciates the dedication and loyalty of its long-standing staff members and would like to thank Iain for his commitment and devotion to the company. We all wish him a long, healthy and happy retirement.
