£24,000 - £27,000 dependent on experience

The successful applicant will work in our Accounts team to cover and support both purchase ledger and credit control. The successful applicant will also be required to assist the Company Accounts Manager & Management Accountant when needed.
Job specification
- Input a high volume of invoices to system and file electronically accordingly
- Match and approve invoices against Purchase orders, obtain approval from other departments when required, on two systems.
- Respond to, investigate and resolve supplier and invoice queries
- Ensure supplier records are kept up date (changes to address, bank details, credit limits using the structure in place)
- Assist with weekly payment runs when required.
- Ensure targets and objectives are achieved in accordance with appraisals
- Assist the Purchase Ledger Team with all tasks as required
- Dealing with post, email or telephone queries/resolving issues for internal and external customers
- Undertaking general clerical administration duties (e.g. organising and maintaining electronic files).
- Invoice and bank reconciliations.
- Reconciling documents, such as statements analysing reasons for discrepancies and finding solutions to complete processing to enable suppliers to be paid promptly
- Maintaining/Reviewing Customer and Supplier master data
- Daily cash book
Previous experience & Qualifications
- Previous Purchase Ledger experience preferred, but not essential

- Strong organisation and administration skills with good attention to details

- Good computer literacy, with a working knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook
- Confident telephone manner
