The past year the Brick Industry has seen a significant increase in output with factories working non-stop to meet the recent increase in demand. For this reason MBH PLC launched a bespoke ‘Select Order Process’ particularly for the I-Line and Synthesis range.
It gives the customer an easy and efficient service through their distributor. In addition it gives architects, specifiers and contractors much greater confidence in the delivery of their chosen product to a pre-agreed schedule and allows the manufacturer to offer what they believe to be a vital and tangible assurance for its clients.
MBH PLC has responded to the recent rise in brick sales and construction, by increasing its investment and output. The Select Order Process is just one of the latest initiatives in improving and innovating the way in which its products are distributed and meeting the needs of their customer base.
Products are ordered by an approved distributor to be stored at the manufacturer’s premises, pending delivery in accordance with a pre-agreed delivery date (Call off Schedule).
How it works:
Notify > Order > Acknowledge > Approve > Despatch > Invoice
To accept an estimate for the supply and delivery of products using the Select Order Process, you must confirm your order in writing (through an approved distributor) and pay a deposit (equal to the cost of 10,000 bricks of the ordered brick type) or other such deposit specified in the estimate. Once the receipt has been confirmed, along with the written order and deposit, the approval process will take place and an acknowledgment will follow. MBH PLC will then notify the customer when the products are ready and available for inspection. The client then has seven working days from the date of written notification to view the product for approval at the brickyard. Dates will be pre-agreed in accordance with the Call off Schedule for delivery of any products, then despatch will take place. As part of the process MBH PLC will agree a fixed price with its clients, where they can rest assured that no variation to that price will be made for the products ordered, provided the delivery schedule is maintained.
East Ham, Civic Centre uses a combination of 60% Farnham Red and 40% Light Victorian Red bricks. The whole process allows for the product to be manufactured efficiently and appropriately sited at the relevant MBH PLC site. The contractor and distributor inspect and approve the product as an additional quality assurance for the customer, prior to dispatch. Britain’s Brick Specialists will agree to hold the stock for a pre-agreed period of time to suit the required schedule of its clients, giving greater flexibility to the project manager and specifier on site, whilst offering a longstop date as part of your contract.
Frank Hanna, Group Commercial Director reinforces the reason behind this initiative, saying “MBH PLC is looking to the future, looking to innovate and always puts our end users at the forefront of our business. Our aim is to apply an assured, accurate and more structured approach to the Industry’s dated despatch processes. Our bespoke order service is how we will try to lead the industry, offering a quality and reliable service to our users and distributors that offer a guaranteed delivery.”
