Michelmersh was delighted to attend the British Ceramic Confederation, Health and Safety pledge conference yesterday with 15 Michelmersh employees. Michelmersh won multiple awards including two for Blockleys; rewarded for measures to address manual handling issues – (for building a mono rail system above the brick dryer system to reduce the manual handling of motors, fans and burners) and for measures to improve visitor management – (building a visitor booth at the works entrance so visitors can have a central contact centre and can then be escorted safely thereon).
These simple but very effective ideas have vastly improved the safety for all our employees and site visitors.
