Project overview
Claridges Hotel in London recently received a revitalising renovation by Derek Whetton Consultancy, Arups and Blair Associates. The brief included cladding over the existing Grade I listed facade, which was installed in the early 20th Century.
With a request that construction needed to be lightweight, quick to install and provide minimal disruption to the hotel. FabSpeed’s ProClad system was pivotal to the success of the project as it allowed for incredibly accurate installation and for the design to incorporate hidden movement joints.
A glass ceiling with a shallow pool is filled with a few inches of water, this unique feature casts subtle reflections throughout the hall and the walls are clad in glossy, three-dimensional, mother-of-pearl white tiles by Ceramica Senio.
